Spending time in Silver's presence is not unlikely to eventually leave the impression they've painstakingly crafted much of their outward-facing personality, as some things quite different than how they normally seem sometimes slip through.

• Silver is avoidant of social situations, excusing themself from nearly all social gatherings and otherwise tending to find ways around having to directly interact with anyone unfamiliar more than necessary. the few social events they do attend that require them to interact regularly with others they do their best to maintain appearances for, though the longer the event goes on the more they're noticed to be privately exhausted and drained. extended social events also break down some of Silver's social skills, revealing them to be quite limited and heavily reliant on politeness and some simple, almost scripted ways of responding to others that are badly strained by a dynamic and constantly changing social atmosphere full of strangers.
  Their careful word choice also seems to be related to their limited social capabilities as much as their want to be respectful.
• noted by more observant and sensitive people to seem discomforted by direct eye contact, their eyes only locking onto another person's when asserting themself feels greatly necessary. Anyone who's forced Silver to look them in the eye recalls their gaze to have a surprising intensity and fierceness, though this isn't usually reflected in Silver's expression unless they're exceptionally furious.
• dislikes being touched by anyone they don't know very well, flinching slightly and moving away just a little if touched in any intentional manner. The distance they put between themself and another person increases drastically with repeated intentional attempts to touch them, and ignoring their personal boundaries enough times eventually results in a surprisingly forceful reaction.
• though noticed quite rarely, Silver does occasionally mumble things to themself. They quickly stop as soon as anyone even enters their general vicinity, and their unusually sharp senses make approaching them close enough to hear what exactly they're saying quite difficult. Whether they actually do this uncommonly, or are simply sensitive enough they pick up on other people approaching before they're overheard, is unclear.
  The few who have actually heard what Silver is saying describe their speech as utter nonsense. just pretend made-up words or random real words, most of which sound similar or rhyme when said together, but nothing of any actual value.

whatever causes Silver to be this way isn't wholly agreed on, though whatever the case may be their strange behavior is decidedly and ultimately harmless.

despite the distant notes of themself Silver shows to others some topics of discussion seem to stir great interest in them, their eyes and face lighting up with restrained excitement and they sometimes seeminly can't seem to stop themselves from passionately interjecting with whatever they know on the subject, even if the interjection is seen as rude or otherwise received poorly. The cosmos in particular is a topic of intense focus for Silver, not in a spiritual or theological sense so much as the physical objects that are the stars and their movement through the sky, how the universe was formed and may one day expire, and what lies yet unseen in the deep of space.

Around friends and loved ones the distant though formally polite Silver fades noticably, more so the more they seem to trust those around them. Their soft smile often breaks into a wide grin, and they generally seem more relaxed, genuine, and expressive. The side of them that loves to joke becomes much more prominent, and their sense of humor noted to be slapstick or absurd and ridiculous... occasionally even slipping into a dark "gallows" humor, though then only directed at themself.

When accompanied by people they feel very comfortable around they are also noticed to like to touch various novel things, and may often brush their fingertips along textured things in their vicinity, subtly savoring the feeling. The nature of this isn't quite clear, but seems related to whatever causes their other odd quirks and mannerisms.

Silver must generally be incensed or otherwise forced into trading blows with someone, and thus they are rarely seen doing so without a furrowed brow and intense, heated gaze. Their movements regardless of what manner of combat they're engaged in are surprisingly quick, skillful, and precise. They do seem to enter somewhat of a "combat trance" of heightened focus and awareness, though this doesn't seem to be the kind that leaves them with lack of awareness of their surroundings.... and possible new objects to use as weapons.

Unless Silver has been drinking while in a particularly foul mood they are almost invariably gregarious and jovial, finding just about everything funny and practically draping themself over anyone they trust or like, the extremity of this behavior reversal being more intense the more intoxicated they become. The sharpness of the world, as Silver describes it, seems to fall off the more intoxicated they become as well, and indeed their sensitivity to light and noise fades to nonexistence until they sober up.

Normally incredibly reserved especially in matters of the heart, a drunken Silver is forward and flirtacious towards anyone they have feelings for or find attractive... though this still follows their generally very low interest in intimacy and is therefore seen quite rarely. Even when heavily intoxicated, they are still noted to refuse any suggestions to move anything past idle drunken flirting, save for if the object of their flirtation is their husband.
